Students will learn about ocean life and the oldest ocean creatures. Artists whose work is inspired by the ocean will be shared and learners will consider ways to help ocean life.

Students will learn about land formation and a variety of environments on land. Students will learn about early land animals and how they may have become extinct. Students will see artists' work that reflects their love of nature. Students will reflect on the importance of land and how to protect natural environments.

Students will discuss the variety of animals on Earth and why they are important. Students will view artists whose work shows some variety of interaction between animals and people in the past and present. Students will represent various animal habitats and think of ways to help preserve the environment.
